DJ Luke

While we were visiting OKC some "pro parents" (they have two precious girls) gave us a hand-me-down toy that we said we just had to have.  And wouldn't you know it, they were right....Luke loves his music table.  He thinks he's going to be a DJ when he grows up.  Check out his mad skills...
This was his first time to play with it and he must have stood up there for like ten minutes.  When I said "back your thing up" he was starting to dance.  And he only gets crazier each time we play with it!  So fun --- Thanks, Bridwells!  And BTW...not going to be a DJ.  I might have mentioned I think he has tendancies towards dentistry.  So, here's my proof...his favorite game right now:

And if his current skill level is any indicator...he's very gentle.  But his practice will be named Monkey Business or Monkey Teeth or something...because not only does he have gentle hands, but every once and a while he slips one of his "gentle toes" in too....Note my skillful grab on his left leg.  HA!

Week(s?) in Pictures

Luke digs older chicks.  Especially cute little ones like her!

Just talking with Mema (Luke's great Grandma Lillian Luke).  Again...he digs older chicks.  What can I say?

Trying to understand what's going on.  But I look good don't I?

LOVING his Aunt Kristin

And his cousin Sidney

And Grammy and Pop.

This little guy sure can bring smiles to a hard situation.

A little windy but I like this picture

Still loving bath time.  So much so that usually there's a full on melt down when I finally pull him out of the tub.

So to get more water time, there's been lots of swimming --- in kiddy pools and big pools.  This was the first attempt at kiddy pool time at nanas with Reese and Jack.

And a trip to Magic Time Machine...which if I'm being honest was hands down one of the top three WORST meals I've ever had.  In my life.  NAAAAH. STEEEE.  But the kids loved it.  Even Luke was really hamming it up.  (if you don't know about it, DO NOT go for the food.  The waiters dress up in costumes -- ours was Peter Pan - and you eat in a school bus or pirate ship, etc.)  Food is most certainly not their forte.

So, we're definitely staying busy - Luke loves summer time and it's getting much easier to get out and about with him!  More pics to come another day!

Look Alike Game

I always think it's so fun to look at baby pictures and compare Kelsey and I to Luke.  I think that Luke is a mini Kelsey but every now and then someone will point out that he has my eyes.  It seems like my friends and family tend to think he looks like me (and the rest of the Walkers for that matter) and Kelsey's friends and family agree with me, that Luke is a mini Kels!  Anyways, without further adieu....

Here are some of my baby pics....

And here's one of Kelsey.... I'll add more when he sends them over but this is all I've got this minute...

Yes...it's blurry...it's over thirty years old, people!

And in case you've forgotten...here's the little dude.

e's changing so much lately.  He loves banging into things (in his walker, he'll back up to get a running start for a really good crash) and he has started laughing when mama says no.  He's "chatty" but really only gets out "mama" and "heeeyyyyyyy".  Too cute.  I'm loving each little accomplishment and can't believe he's already ten months!   And I'll post some videos soon.

We've had a tough week...Kelsey and I each lost a grandparent in the past week...my grandpa first on Friday and his grandma (mema) on Sunday. We know they are in a better place but of course wish that we could hug them one last time.  If I had to guess my granpa is being ornery and Mema is trying to keep him in line!  Good luck with that Mema --- you will both be missed!

And just so I'm not Debbie Downer...I'll post some videos soon of Luke talking, spitting and clawing...we're still working on manners!  For now, he's my little wild animal!

But really...what do you think?  Is Luke looking more like his daddy or me?  I'm curious for your input!
