Linking Up

I had to link up to Dear Baby Blog after reading this post!  Holy moly, those words could have come straight out of my mouth!  I totally related to it so I thought it was worth sharing - mainly so if you thought I was a crazy mama bear before, you know I'm not the only weirdo...or on the off chance that other mamas (or mama's to be!) can relate.

Check it out - she has a great blog, a great retro style and I love her perspective!

And because what'a a post without  a picture of my big boy who is SITTING ON HIS OWN(!!!!!), here ya go:

Sorry for the fuzzy iPhone pic - we had to grab quickly to document the moment...it was a little unexpected!

Stroller Shopping

I'm on the hunt for a stroller and need suggestions!  We've been using the snap and go Graco frame that his carseat just hooks onto... but Luke's getting so big, I think it's time to transition to a bigger stroller, where he can face back or front.  He loves his jogger but it's just too big to maneuver through the mall -- or anyplace other than the neighborhood park!

So, I need some suggestions!  Do I go used or new?  Is there a particular make/model to consider?  If I'm being honest, I use the stroller at least once a week, probably more and nine times out of ten it's in the busy mall on a Saturday.  But I also don't know how long we'll use it once he's more mobile.  And so I'm not ready to drop a couple hundred dollars on a G Ride.

So.... this "beauty" is a little out of the question:
Although we are pretty gangster at Stonebriar Mall.

M.I.A.

I know I've been MIA a bit --- we're alive and well!  Actually getting a better night's sleep than we have in months but work is a bit brutal for me and Kelsey.  After next week, things should slow down though - and I'll try to post an update on Luke before then.  I will say that "lil" man....ain't so little.  He's passed the 17 pound mark!  Big ol boy!

Here he is, patiently waiting for his booster shot!  Sitting up all on his own!!! (and blurry because he's def not sitting still!)

3 Years!!!

Well, it's been three years, three houses, three job changes (combined) and one baby since Kelsey and I threw a fabulous party said I do!  Yesterday we celebrated three years of married life!

(and because I'm still obsessed with our wedding pictures, check this out for more!)

By celebrated, you need to understand that at the Turner household we pretty much value rest right now.  So we both took the day off from work and spent it together with little man.  Other than the fact that not working is waaaaaay cooler than going to the office, nothing too extravagant for our day.  We went to Costco - where we shopped and ate lunch!  Took Luke to visit one of his sweet nurses at the NICU....

Luke with one of the NICU nurses that loved him like her own.  Of course, they all did and we wish we could have seen the whole gang!

Then went to the jewelry store to clean my bling, and did some quick shopping.  For dinner it was super fancy.....pizza, a glass of wine along with a little American Idol.

Luke decided he wasn't done celebrating though so he decided to wake up pretty much every hour throughout the night and scream his excitement.  Oh, wait...what?  That wasn't excitement?  Why the heck were we up every hour then!?!?!?  He must've been jonesing for some more jump time.

So, a restful day off = SCORE!

Restful night before going back to work again = FAIL.

If you would have told me three years ago that this is how I would choose to spend my anniversary I would have said you were smoking crack.  But I wouldn't have it any other way except maybe a week long beach vacation ...just teasing....sort of.  I can't believe how I lucked out!  It's been a heck of a ride and I couldn't have been matched with a better travel companion for this journey!

7 Months

WOW!  My little man is seven months old today... which hit me as being a really big deal when we realized he's closer to one than he is to zero!  Crazy....  He's such a sweet little guy - and considering what a stinker he was at first, we really aren't taking it for granted!  Here's some pics of little big man.
