They are DIVINE
Those slippers...remember? The ones I was anxiously awaiting to replace my ratty, worn out ones? Well. They came. And they're incredible. That's all.
Just wanted to let you know they were worth the wait and a steal of a deal. They're just the right mix of squishy yet supportive, warm but not make your feet sweat warm. Perfect for the ONE bottle Luke is having during the night. Yep, just waking up once these days! Woohooo!

Split Personality
I'm pretty sure I'm leading a double life. Or have a split personality. Or something.
By day:
And by night....errrr, if I'm being honest....the second I walk in the door:
Actually, I don't have these slippers. YET. This Friday, they will be mine. Don't they look amazing!?!?! My anticipation about these bad boys has me seriously evaluating my shoe collection. Don't judge---it can only be described as a collection. But the variety is really getting ridiculous. A little case of bi-polar shoe selection. I NEED HELP FOR MY ADDICTION! I'm planning to clean my closet out this weekend and I'm going to box up what I think I don't want. I'll store it up in the attic...just in case...and if I haven't got in the box in a couple months, adios! Is this a ridiculous plan or sheer genius? I just don't know yet!
Anyone out there have stubs for feet like I do? If you wear a 5.5, let me know...I just might be able to share my collection with you. In a month or two. It's a process people....taking this all a day at a time....
By day:
I literally wore these yesterday and was praying a tram would magically appear to drive me to my car at the end of the day. STUPID.
And by night....errrr, if I'm being honest....the second I walk in the door:

Luke - 5 months!
Last Friday, my little man was five months old.... FIVE. MONTHS. Crazy because sometimes it all feels so fresh and new. And I still feel a little unsure, trying to navigate these parenting waters. But in other ways, holy moly has it been a long five months. Lots of snuggles, lots of sleepless nights, lots of playing, lots of walks, lots of doctor's appointments, lots of pumping (ugh, the pumping!!!). But most importantly...lots and lots of Love. Like more love than I thought this heart could ever handle.
And at five months, our little booger is really getting a personality. Mind you that's a double edged sword. He loves to do what he wants. Which mostly at this point includes eating, sleeping. And.....watching TV -- he's like Mike TV from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I know....don't all go rushing to declare me mom of the year. I swear I don't leave him in front of the TV for hours but if it's on, he's craning his neck to watch. And if I try to turn him away from it or turn it off, he pushes his bottle away and won't eat. See? Entranced....
We may have a problem with this down the road!
And....He's talking! Ok. Not really talking, talking. But he's making little noises which are pretty incredible.
And his smile. Oh....his smile. JUST. KILLS. ME.
We're kinda obsessed with each other and try to soak in each other as much as we can when I get home from work. (it looks like he's crying here, but I swear he was cooing and smiling)
The past couple weeks, we've glanced at the monitor about an hour into his nighttime stretch of sleep to see this:
We've already switched to the massive (XL) swaddle blankets. Not that our little guy is XL but we thought it gave us the added wrapping ability. And we thought we were kinda swaddle pros. Well, I didn't. But hubs certainly did. And Luke's busting out of the swaddle no matter which one of us wraps him up. Angry sleeper or time to get rid of the swaddle? Lord help me if it's the latter...
Have a great week!
